Job summary

Headstar is seeking a Management Accountant to deliver more than month-end reporting, partnering with the Group Financial Controller and senior leaders to drive commercial insight. You will analyse margins, support budgets and reporting improvements, and play a key role in shaping financial decisions across an overseas business unit.

You will split your time across management accounting, commercial analysis and business partnering, developing your skills while supporting cash flow, reporting

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or QBE ACCA/ACA/CIMA in finance.
• Experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar finance role.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience using ERP and accounting systems.
• Proactive and organised approach with attention to detail.
• Able to build relationships with stakeholders across departments.
• Excellent communication skills to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
• Willingness to challenge existing processes and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reporting for an overseas business unit.
• Analyse margins, sales performance and profitability trends.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and inventory.
• Manage month-end activities including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
• Prepare financial information for senior leadership and board reporting.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams across the business.
• Support tenders with commercial and financial analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and controls.
• Support business improvement projects and wider finance initiatives.

Joining a growing international business, you'll become an integral part of a finance team that's evolving alongside the organisation. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and senior leadership team, you'll provide the analysis and insight that helps shape commercial and operational decisions.
