Main duties of the job
  • Supporting the Finance Manager to enhance financial performance, financial risk rating, and contribution margin.
  • Delivering high-quality management accounting and business partnering services to HPL & the client.
  • Providing timely, accurate financial information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
  • Assisting budget managers with financial information and recommendations for action.
  • Equipping budget managers with tools and data to manage budgets and enhance financial performance.

Job responsibilities
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Supporting the delivery of statutory reporting and year-end processes.
  • Contributing to the annual budgeting and in-year forecasting cycles.
  • Acting as a finance business partner to operational teams, providing guidance, challenge, and support.
  • Ensuring accurate coding and financial controls are maintained across the ledger.
  • Producing detailed analysis to support decision-making and drive financial sustainability.
  • Driving improvements in financial reporting, processes, and system utilisation (Oracle).

Competencies: About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Essential skills and attributes: Experience working in a finance role within a complex organisation, Strong Oracle Financials (or similar ERP) experience, Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis), Excellent analytical ability, with a strong eye for detail, Confident communicator, able to build relationships with clinicians, budget holders, and suppliers, Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach Desirable: Part-qualified or actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA), Experience in accounts payable and financial reporting in the healthcare sector
