Job summary

Nomad Foods is seeking a Cluster Management Accountant – Southern Europe for the Hammersmith hybrid office. You will lead month-end close, develop KPI analytics, and partner with market finance and senior management to drive performance.

This role reports to the Cluster Senior Controller and supervises SU accountants and analysts. The ideal candidate is an experienced, fully qualified management accountant with strong forecasting, reporting skills, and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Experienced and fully qualified management accountant in reporting and forecasting.
• Fluent in Italian (written and spoken) is highly desirable.
• Track record of driving continuous improvement of entity accounting, close and reporting systems and processes.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Impactful report writing and presentation skills.
• Computer skills including proficiency with MS Excel and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly close of management accounts (P&L and BS) and prepare monthly data reporting packages with KPI analysis.
• Provide commentary and identify KPI trends during Month End from multiple data sources.
• Develop and present variance analyses and actionable recommendations to leadership and finance partners.
• Prepare quarterly performance analytics and reports.
• Present results to Team Lead/Business alongside the Senior Controller.

Cluster Management Accountant – Southern Europe

Our Cluster Management Accountant are responsible for closing out the Month End for the Cluster Markets (MU & SU), reporting and analytics for our business units and central functions, including standard management reporting. The Cluster Management Accountant will be responsible for the ownership of analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPIs and as a key financial liaison, partnering with the various departments across the business unit.

About the role:

The Cluster Mgt Accountant will supervise the work of SU accountants, analysts/associates and will regularly work and liaise with the Market Finance business partners & senior management, alongside the Snr Finance controller of the Cluster.

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee the monthly close of management accounts (P&L and BS), including the involvement in the preparation of monthly data reporting packages that includes analysis of KPIs, variance analysis and explanations, reviewing accruals and journals as required
• Reviewing data from multiple systems and stakeholders, providing commentary and narrative identify trends for KPIs during Month End
• Reviewing variance analysis and owning the developing of recommendations for leadership and finance business partners (FBP)
• Preparation of quarterly performance analytics and reports
• Presentation of results to Team Lead/Business alongside the Snr Controller

About you:

Ideally you’ll be an experienced and fully qualified management accountant in reporting and forecasting. As well as strong proactive mindset.
