Management Accountant - 15 month contract - South East London - Up to £65k

A leading provider of large scale events in south east London has a need for an experienced management accountant. Over the years, they have successfully worked and partnered with leading brands including Google, BA, Netflix, and Amazon to name a few.

This role is to cover the current incumbent while they are on maternity leave. You will provide essential financial guidance and support and will have complete ownership of the full set of management accounts.

Duties:

  1. Prepare accurate monthly accounts, highlighting key insights on variances for improved decision-making.
  2. Develop annual budgets and dynamic forecasts in line with strategic objectives.
  3. Analyse KPIs, profitability, and costs to recommend strategies for efficiency and growth.
  4. Offer financial expertise to operational and commercial teams to support smarter business decisions.
  5. Track expenses and enforce cost-control measures to maintain budgetary discipline.
  6. Enhance financial systems and processes to boost efficiency and control.
  7. Ensure all financial operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  8. Manage inter-company reconciliations, including preparing and posting inter-office charges.
  9. Oversee the preparation of year-end statutory accounts for both UK and Spanish entities, and handle ad hoc requests as needed.
  10. Assist the Finance Manager with day-to-day tasks, including basic postings and daily processing.

Requirements:
  1. Part or fully qualified accountant ACCA / CIMA / ACA.
  2. 5+ years of management accounting experience in a similar industry.
  3. Experience working within Xero and QuickBooks.
  4. Good understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
