Job summary

Talentedge are actively recruiting for a Management Accountant for a leading events business in Central London. The role offers hybrid working (3 days p/w in the office) and a salary of £40k+study per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACCA/CIMA studier or finalist with a proven background in management accounting, with broad business-facing exposure and strong potential to develop across the group.

Qualifications

• Proven background in management accounting from an accountancy practice.
• Some exposure to business partnering.
• Proactive performer with commitment to the role and results.
• Confident communicating with senior management level.
• Strong team player in a high achieving environment.

Responsibilities

• Post monthly journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank, stock, intercompany and fixed assets.
• Execute month-end close and meet deadlines.
• Review contracts and journals; provide monthly P&L commentary and analysis.
• Process monthly payroll for Europe and post payroll journals.
• Prepare quarterly/monthly EU VAT returns.
• Liaise with external accountants and provide information as needed.
• Prepare monthly global client accounts revenue and bookings report.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals and prepayments
• Perform reconciliations for balance sheet, including bank, stock, intercompany and fixed assets
• Perform month-end close, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Review and prepare contracts and journals
• Provide monthly commentary and analysis of P&L
• Monthly payroll processing and submission for Europe, prepare and post payroll journals.
• Quarterly/Monthly EU VAT returns
• Providing external accountants with timely information and dealing with any queries
• Prepare monthly global client accounts revenue & bookings report

Required Experience:

• Proven background in management accounting from an accountancy practice
• Some exposure to business partnering
• Proactive performer that demonstrates commitment to the role & desire to achieve.
• Confident communicating with senior management level.
