An established industry player in local government finance is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a 2-year fixed-term contract. My London based Local Government client is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join them for a period of 2 years on a fixed term basis. Reporting into the Head of Financial Improvement, your role will be responsible for carrying out both routine and more complex financial control functions and providing technical financial support to the relevant department. You will also develop effective and efficient financial and administrative systems to ensure that the service department can fulfil its financial responsibilities, including adhering to the system controls and procedures in place.
You will also be responsible for a specified range of services or accounts, and liaise with the service department where appropriate on all aspects of financial control.
To be considered for the role you will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience in Local Government finance as well as experience in budgetary control, accounting and financial reporting environment. You will be at least part qualified CCAB accountant and also have excellent communication skills.
This is a 2 year fixed term contract with a salary range of £39,471 to £51,127 with a requirement of 2 days a week in the office.
