Entertainment / Digital Tech & Online Festivals
Shoreditch, London (Hybrid: Minimum 2 days in office – Mon/Wed)
Competitive Salary (up to £47K dependant on experience)
Recently Qualified or Finalist / Experienced Ready-to-Step-Up
Small, High-Impact Team (Direct report to the Financial Controller)
If you are tired of doing piecemeal ledger work and ready to take full ownership of the end-to-end management accounts process, this is your opportunity.
At The Worlds Online Festival (WOLF), based in the vibrant heart of Shoreditch, we operate in the fast-paced digital entertainment and online festival space. We are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking Management Accountant who can hit the ground running, take real responsibility from Day 1, and grow alongside our business.
Working in a tight-knit London finance team alongside our Financial Controller, you won't be hidden away in a back-office silo. You will get direct exposure to global operations and play a key role in building out our finance function, streamlining international reporting, and taking on increasing strategic responsibility as the team grows.
We don't expect you to have mastered every single revenue stream yet, but you must be ready to step beyond pure transactional accounting.
Management Accounts Capability: You are either recently qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or close to reaching that level, with practical exposure to pulling together management accounts.
Core Technical Understanding: You have a solid, confident grip on core month-end mechanics—accruals, prepayments, fixed asset registers, and control account reconciliations—and critically, the proven ability to bring these together into a full P&L and Balance Sheet.
Hit-the-Ground-Running Mindset: Pragmatic, proactive, and analytical. You are ready to roll up your sleeves, handle the core month-end process independently, and adapt to a fast-moving environment.
Working directly with the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of wider core reporting while supporting our expanding global operations:
Management Reporting: Prepare the monthly Group Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports. Maintain prepayment/accrual schedules, fixed asset registers, and intercompany reconciliations.
Control & Reconciliations: Perform full control account reconciliations and oversee merchant/bank reconciliations across multiple international currencies in Xero.
Global Tax & Compliance: Process quarterly VAT returns across the UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and MOSS (with support from the FC).
Payroll & Audit Prep: Work with HR to process monthly payroll and assist with year-end audit preparation and close.
Process Improvement & Growth: Support the FC with ad-hoc financial projects, process streamlining, and team expansion.
Growth & Exposure: A role designed to stretch your abilities, offer direct FC mentorship, and expand your career as the business grows.
Financial Package: Competitive salary up to £47K.
Work-Life Balance: Hybrid working (minimum 2 days in our Shoreditch office on Mondays & Wednesdays) and Early Finish Fridays.
Time Off: 25 days holiday (increasing with service) plus discretionary days off between Christmas and New Year.
Perks & Culture: Perkbox subscription, competitive pension, regular team lunches, and social get-togethers.
