Management Accountant

Leading media events business seeks an experienced Management Accountant to join their fast-growing finance team based at their London HQ.

An exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join a dynamic team. You will play a key role in managing historical accounting, supporting cost tracking, accruals, and revenue analysis, while working closely with the business to enhance financial insights and improve forecasts.

Key Role Responsibilities:

1. Month end management accounts focused on overheads and balance sheet.
2. Managing the company’s budget and financial planning.
3. Overseeing financial audits and compliance procedures.
4. Collaborating with different departments to support financial strategies.
5. Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.
6. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
7. Providing financial advice and guidance to the management team.
8. Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

Key Qualifications for the Management Accountant:

1. Strong background in management accounting with a commercial focus.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
3. Proven experience with accruals, prepayments, and sales reporting.
4. Advanced Excel skills (ideally beyond pivot tables) for detailed reporting and analysis.
5. Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and ask insightful questions to drive process improvements.
6. A thorough understanding of financial regulations and standards.
7. Proficiency in Excel, with familiarity with Tableau being a plus.
8. Part-Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA (Qualified by experience also considered).
