About the Role

As the Management Accountant, you'll lead the day-to-day financial operations of a small finance team. Your focus will be on delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and supporting the leadership team with planning and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support the daily operations of the finance team
  • Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations
  • Complete and review weekly bank reconciliations, resolving any issues promptly
  • Produce regular cash flow forecasts and maintain rolling financial projections
  • Ensure FCA-related reconciliations and reporting are accurate and compliant
  • Review internal compliance processes for thoroughness and quality
  • Coordinate audit preparation and maintain strong financial controls
  • Process monthly payroll through Sage Payroll
  • Lead the annual budgeting cycle and provide support to department heads
  • Oversee credit control processes and manage insurance-related payments
What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience Required
  • Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA preferred)
  • Proficient in Sage 50 and Sage Payroll
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Confident working with Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Able to present complex financial information in a clear, accessible way
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
  • Committed to maintaining integrity and accuracy in all financial matters
Desirable
  • Working knowledge of FCA regulations, especially regarding client funds
What\'s on Offer
  • Competitive salary: 48,000 - 50,000
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
