A fast-growing professional services business in South Manchester seeks a Management Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and be involved in financial analysis, month-end reconciliations, and budgeting. This role offers a competitive salary of around £45,000 and a hybrid work model with 2 days in the office and 3 from home.

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting.

Overview

Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a fast growing, professional services business in South Manchester. They require a commercially astute Management Accountant with strong Excel skills to join their exciting team.

Salary - Circa £45,000

Location - South Manchester

Hybrid - 2 days in the office, 3 from home.

Responsibilities
  • Weekly financial analysis and reporting of operational performance
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and month end journal postings. Take ownership of the management accounts process including accruals, pre-payments and month end journals.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation Cash-flow control and forecasting
  • Assist in the production of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Partner with the Finance Manager to deliver budgets, forecasts & variance analysis.
  • Liaise with external auditors at year end
  • Monthly review of the debtors and creditors ledgers
  • Recommend and implement process and system changes
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Provide assistance to other members of the finance team with Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger duties.
  • Assist in the development of the wider Finance team.
Person Specification
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • ACCA/CIMA PQ/Finalist or QBE.
  • Must be IT literate and have detailed knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office products. The ability to use Excel to a high level is preferable.
  • Have a curious mind with an appetite to understand the key drivers of the business and use your finance skills to make an impact
