Opportunity to join an international and established business as a Management Accountant, reporting into the Financial Controller. This role offers autonomy in a business partnering capacity with UK budget holders and involves process improvement initiatives. Although initially a fixed-term contract, there is potential for this position to become permanent.

Management Accountant - About The Role

You will report to the Financial Controller, with responsibilities for UK entities. Your tasks include providing flash reports by day 4 and preparing full management accounts for Board meetings. You will act as the interface between management accounts and budget holders, presenting variance analyses.

The organization offers a blend of medium-sized business environment with international support. Besides month-end reporting, there will be opportunities to engage in process and system improvements to optimize system utilization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Month-end close, starting with flash reporting, progressing to full management accounts for UK entities
2. Managing the UK budget process and reporting variances to budget holders
3. Posting journals and accruals
4. Conducting balance sheet reconciliations

Candidate Requirements

• Formal accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Newly qualified or post-qualification experience considered
• Ability to adapt to new software platforms
