Meraki Talent’s market leading client based in Falkirk are looking to add a Management Accountant to the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading firm, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the production and presentation of accurate and timely financial information.

Key duties of the role include:

  • Production of monthly and quarterly management accounts in accordance with the groups reporting timetable.
  • Produce balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations to support monthly reporting cycles.
  • Monitor capital expenditure and maintain the Fixed Asset Register in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Track daily cash balances and prepare regular cash flow forecasts to aid liquidity planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with departmental leads.
  • Work with stakeholders at various levels, discussing monthly KPIS and management accounts.
  • Support the year-end audit process, acting as a key liaison with external auditors and providing required documentation.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the sales and purchase ledger functions, ensuring efficient transactional processing.
  • Prepare stock reconciliations, conduct inventory valuations, and analyse stock wastage.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of new finance systems and process improvements across the function.
  • Ad hoc duties when required by finance team.

Experience required:

  • ICAS, ACCA or CIMA Qualified / Qualified by Experience
  • Strong background in the production of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Comfortable working to challenging month and quarter end deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experienced excel user.
