Job description

Management Accountant

Salary: £40k - £45k based on experience

Location: Staffordshire

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the management accounts function for a major logistics operation in the UK and Ireland, providing accurate and timely information to the respective management teams. This role requires a professional who can present numbers clearly for non-finance users, demonstrating excellent organisational and time management skills.

What you'll do:
  • Lead the management accounts function for UK & Ireland operations
  • Provide accurate and timely operational information
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller and Financial Accountant
  • Production of accurate monthly management accounts for both the UK and Ireland
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer / Financial Controller in presenting monthly results to the Management team
  • Prepare P&L forecasts on a timely and accurate basis
  • Assist with the production of annual budgets
  • Maintain the integrity of the accounts software and associated supporting TMS’s master data
  • Support ad-hoc projects to improve processes or reduce costs within the organisation
What you bring:
  • Actively studying CIMA / ACCA
  • Excellent working knowledge of accounting systems
  • Experience in balance sheet reconciliations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel at medium / advanced level
  • Strong influencing, written and oral communication skills
