Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to play a crucial role for a dynamic and growing company based in Slough. This role will allow the candidate to gain experience with the full month end process

In this position, you will work closely with business operations, providing valuable information and analysis to support informed decision-making. You will be a proactive team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize your workload effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining weekly P&Ls and supporting files
  • Completing daily and weekly reporting, including revenue, cost, and volumes
  • Actively participating in the preparation of site budgets
  • Preparing management accounts for operational management to assess financial performance, understand variances, and highlight concerns
  • Assisting in training non-financial staff on existing reports during site visits
  • Preparing monthly accruals and prepayment schedules
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Actively participating in various ad-hoc projects

About You:
  • Ideally, 1-2 years of experience in a finance function, preferably studying for professional exams
  • Strong Excel skills, including working with large datasets
  • Some experience with management accounts
  • Desirable: Financial systems experience and a driving license
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a questioning approach
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to not only create accurate reports but also question and review the numbers and their impact
  • Strong communication skills
  • A team player with the ability to follow procedures and guidelines
