Job description

The company is at the forefront of its sector and is going from strength to strength. They were founded in 1937 and remain a family business. Due to their continued success, they are looking for someone to step into this key role.

Role: Management Accountant

Location: Maidstone

Hours: 8.30 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday

Benefits: Parking, Pension, 20 days Hol + B Holidays + 3 days after 5 years, Life cover, etc.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct day-to-day management of the accounting functions for the company
  2. Preparation of monthly management information pack, including relevant analysis and commentary on key variances, margin evolution, and key cost lines
  3. Ensure all bank covenant reporting is prepared and submitted within the deadlines
  4. Implement and manage accounting controls to maintain data integrity. This will include the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts monthly
  5. Manage the financial forecasting process
  6. Prepare Year-end data & assist Auditors with the annual process requirements
  7. Preparation & submission & payment deadlines are adhered to for all Taxes, VAT, PAYE, P11d & Class 1 NICs, P46's
  8. Payroll procession and payments made in a timely fashion, along with all journal entries reconciled monthly
  9. General administration/project work & office duties required

Suitable Candidate:

  1. Recently qualified or part qualified with a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA or similar)
  2. Minimum of two years of management accounting experience
  3. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  4. Previous Sage 50 experience is beneficial.

Due to the location of my client, the successful candidate will need to drive and have access to their own transport.
