Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established Finance team. The successful candidates will be AAT qualified (Association of Accounting Technician) or Degree Level. With strong technical accounting skills, strong communicator, pro-active and comfortable with working with a wide range of people, from finance and non-finance background.
The post holder will report to the Finance Business Partner and is responsible for the day-to-day management of all finance issues relating to a clinical Division within the Trust and involved with technical financial management information, budget setting and report writing.
The management accounts team currently operate a hybrid working arrangement, working up to three days per week at home.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of management accounts for the division following agreed monthly deadlines. They will be expected to produce high quality financial reports and analysis, including non-financial data and identify variances and trends.
The post holder will also ensure that the Finance Business Partner is made aware of the monthly journals, invoices and other work undertaken by maintaining and presenting workings, backing papers and any other appropriate records. They will also verbally update and escalate to the Financer Business Partner information in relation to the financial performance or risks in a timely manner.
The post holder is expected to ensure a customer focused service is delivered to the budget holders across the Trust and provide technical finance support to non-finance colleagues, answering queries both verbally and by email, where necessary investigating and co-ordinating answers from across the finance department and other corporate functions.
The post holder is required to take an active interest in the furtherance of their career and personal development.
