Job description

Jackson Hogg is supporting a fantastic organisation in Cramlington on the appointment of a Management Accountant.

The main focus of the role is the production of management accounts for review by the Finance Manager and CFO, meeting set deadlines, and to support the Finance Manager and CFO in all areas of the finance function.

Key tasks:

  1. Production of monthly management accounts for UK and Germany
  2. Importing sales and reconciling to ERP system
  3. Dealing with cost of sales and overheads
  4. Posting accruals and prepayments
  5. Support with P&L commentary and understanding variance to budget/forecast
  6. Handle stock journals and associated duty and freight costs
  7. Balance sheet reconciliations
  8. Maintain fixed asset register
  9. Prepare VAT returns for UK and EU
  10. Support with the year end audit

Education and Qualifications:

  1. Part/Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA is preferable but QBE will be considered

Relevant Experience:

  1. Experience in a similar role preparing management accounts
  2. Ability to use Excel to a high degree of competency
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  4. Experience of working in multiple currencies and/or with Sage is desirable
