A growing finance-oriented company in Coventry is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join their finance team. This hands-on role involves preparing financial reports, maintaining financial records, and supporting commercial decisions during a period of transformation. We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join the finance team of a growing organisation undergoing significant transformation and expansion. With recent private investment and a clear growth strategy, the business is scaling rapidly through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in supporting the business as it integrates new acquisitions, enhances financial processes, and delivers critical insights to leadership.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, helping to improve systems, deliver accurate financial reporting, and support commercial decision-making at a pivotal stage of growth.
Prepare monthly and regular financial reports, including management and group accounts
Maintain core financial records including fixed asset register, cash flow forecasts, and working capital metrics
Support month-end and year-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and audit preparation
Oversee payroll, VAT returns, and tax-related tasks (in collaboration with external advisors)
Manage purchase ledger activity and respond to supplier queries
Produce regular reports to support HR with performance tracking and KPIs
Contribute to finance system improvements and ensure data accuracy
Support process development across newly acquired entities
Provide mentoring and knowledge-sharing within the team
Deliver ad hoc analysis and take on project-based work as needed
Qualified accountant with experience in a similar finance role
Strong understanding of financial operations, reporting, and controls
Proficient in finance systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Commercially aware with a high level of attention to detail
Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment with evolving systems and priorities
Experience in acquisitive or high-growth businesses
Familiarity with Business Central and Power BI
