Job description

We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity with an accountancy firm based in Corby, who are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their team. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification level, so is open within reason.

Job Role Description:

This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting services to a wide range of clients. You will be the main point of contact for your client portfolio, supporting their business operations with accurate and timely financial information.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly or quarterly management accounts
  • Bookkeeping duties including posting invoices and expenses
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Managing your own portfolio of clients
  • Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
  • Use of SAGE 50 accounting software
  • Invoicing and credit control as required
  • Producing cash flow forecasts and budgeting reports
  • Providing financial insight to support client decision-making
  • Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts and working papers
  • Communicating directly with clients to resolve queries
  • Supporting junior staff where applicable
  • Contributing to process improvements and internal reporting

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a management accounting or a general practice role
  • Confident using accounting software, particularly SAGE 50
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role
  • Friendly, professional, and client-focused
