Management Accountant

What You’ll Do

• Produce accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts and weekly cash flow forecasts.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts.
• Manage and coordinate core finance functions: General Ledger, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Fixed Asset Register, and all accounting data.
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with other statutory tax returns.
• Lead the year-end audit process, liaising directly with external auditors.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis, including costing, product pricing, and performance insights for directors and senior managers.
• Support stock valuations, reconciliations, and month-end journals (prepayments and accruals).
• Oversee supplier payments, cash collection, and ensure financial records are correct and up to date.
• Resolve invoice disputes and handle both internal and external finance queries.
• Continuously review financial processes, identifying and implementing efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to general office administration as needed.

About You

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Proven industry experience, ideally within manufacturing and costing.
• Strong experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Navision or Sage.
• Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
• Highly organised, target-driven, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Proficient in IT with advanced Excel capability.
