Overview

Management Accountant Richmond
£45,000 - £55,000 + Study Support + Bonus + Benefits

Magpie Recruitment is proud to be working exclusively with a well-established and growing consultancy based in Richmond to find a talented and driven Management Accountant.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step up, take ownership of monthly accounts for a number of businesses. You'll be supported with a generous study package (ACCA / CIMA / ACA), full training, and exposure to a wide range of clients across sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare full monthly management accounts, including all related journals, accruals and prepayments
• Reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts (VAT, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany, etc.)
• Produce monthly variance analysis, KPIs and board reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with corporation and personal tax
• Use and train others on cloud-based accounting platforms including Xero or QuickBooks
• Supervise and support junior team members on day-to-day tasks
• Liaise directly with SME clients and build strong working relationships

What We're Looking For

• Part-qualified or actively studying (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) - full study support provided
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance or accounting role
• Must have experience preparing full management accounts
• Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
• Comfortable working to strict deadlines with minimal supervision
• Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
• Strong communicator with a proactive and collaborative mindset
• Bonus: Experience in an SME, multi-entity, or client-facing role
