Job summary

A UK-based finance company is looking for a Management Accountant to join their expanding finance division. The role includes preparing management accounts and collaborating with Operations teams to develop reporting systems. Candidates should be either Part or Fully Qualified Accountants with strong communication skills. The position offers a salary of GBP50k - GBP60k, with three days in the office and two days remote work.

• Develop MI reporting for the Finance function.
• IFRS 16 additions, disposals, and postings.
• Support the Group Financial Controller in MI production.
• Support implementation of the new ERP system.

Job description

Overview

Management Accountant now required for the expansion of this Finance Division.

You will be joining this UK based company at an exciting time, with recent investment taking this business over GBP100m. The role will naturally grow into a Financial Planning & Analysis / Business Partnering (FBP) capability over time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts
• Work within a team to complete the month end processing, including accruals, prepayments, fixed asset disposals, additions, depreciation and other journals
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyse performance against budgets and explain variances to relevant managers
• Interpretation and presentation of ad hoc financial reports
• Critically analyse the numbers to gain a thorough understanding of the business activity behind them
• Work with the Operations teams to develop reporting and be the link between Operations and Finance
• Develop MI reporting for the Finance function and the wider Company
• IFRS 16 additions, disposals, and postings
• Support the Group Financial Controller in the production of MI for the Management meeting
• Support with the implementation of the new ERP system
