Role Overview

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for successfully completing the month-end process and providing timely, accurate, and high-quality management accounts and management information. You will support the organisation to better understand financial performance by providing insightful reporting and analysis.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end process, ensuring all P&Ls, balance sheets, and supporting management information are completed accurately and on time.
  • Take ownership of inter-company reconciliations and functional P&Ls.
  • Ensure all monthly sales invoices are raised, accrued and deferred income is calculated, and revenue is reconciled as part of the month-end process.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of P&Ls, balance sheets, supporting records, and management information.
  • Play a key role in year-end and external audit processes, responding to queries promptly.
  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place around the management accounts process and within services through service audits.
  • Provide and further develop weekly reporting and analysis on key financial performance indicators.
  • Deliver ad hoc support and analysis to enable stakeholders to better understand financial performance.
  • Play a key role in the budget process, ensuring accurate and high-quality budgets are produced within agreed timelines and supporting any subsequent reforecasts.
  • Coach, develop, support, and manage the management accounting team as needed.
  • Support the broader finance team deliverables, including services and other internal stakeholders on financial matters as needed.
  • Provide support for purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking, bank reconciliation, or payroll activities as required.
