My long-standing client is a global financial services organisation with a superb employer reputation and a UK Head Office in Cheshire.

Due to continued growth and high-profile internal projects, a key need has been identified for a strong, experienced FP&A professional with experience within a regulated environment. The role is initially on a 6-month basis with the potential for a longer relationship. Duties will include:

  1. Ownership of Monthly Operating Report (MOR) preparation covering P&L, revenue and expense commentary, and other relevant financial information e.g., cost allocation details and balance sheet information.
  2. Preparation of financial information and commentary to be used for the key EMEA legal entity Board of Director meetings.
  3. Partnering with both the business and finance teams to provide insightful financial analysis.
  4. Partnering with the FP&A team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting.
  5. Preparation and analysis of financial forecasts based on information provided by business management.
  6. Review of month-end P&L to ensure expenses are being appropriately charged to LOBs.
  7. Preparation of detailed analysis on various EMEA Global Markets expense items (e.g., allocated expense analysis, expense deep-dives).
  8. Preparation of detailed expense variance analysis and supporting the business in identifying and implementing cost savings.
  9. Continuous review of reporting and process with the target to ensure reporting is both relevant and produced efficiently.

You will be an experienced finance professional with a strong track record in financial services, insurance, and/or banking where you can exhibit a clear understanding of delivering within a regulated environment. You will also be able to show:

  1. Financial reporting and modelling skills including the ability to build well-controlled spreadsheets and source appropriate and meaningful data.
  2. Strong presentation and communication skills at all levels across the business.
  3. Ability to be office-based 3 days each week.
