Management Accountant

Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking a Manufacturing Management Accountant for a growing organisation based in Cardiff.

As the Manufacturing Management Accountant, you will be responsible for driving financial performance improvements (gross margin) in a company that is about to embark on a program of work to implement lean manufacturing, process improvement, key performance indicators, and procurement excellence. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing sales and operations planning processes to improve service levels and reduce excess inventory.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Working with the supply chain management team and the finance team.
2. Analyse data and provide regular reports to senior management on financial performance including inventory levels, sales, and cost of sales.
3. Analysis of product line profitability and the impact of price and cost changes over time.
4. Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess inventory whilst maintaining and improving service levels.
5. Identify and analyse cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
