Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Cambridge

I have exclusively partnered with a growing manufacturing organisation that is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to be based at their successful Cambridge site.

This role will report directly to the Financial Controller and offers an excellent development opportunity for a driven Assistant Accountant or Management Accountant who is eager to grow, learn, and continue with their professional studies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with month-end preparation and close
2. Prepare weekly and monthly board packs
3. Post journals and provide detailed variance analysis
4. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
5. Prepare costing reports, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and post month-end journals
6. Manage costings, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
7. Business partner across the wider organisation to support financial decision-making

Qualifications and Skills:

• AAT qualified or currently studying ACCA/CIMA
• Experience within an SME environment is desirable
• Self-motivated with strong business partnering skills
• A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and develop
• Strong Excel skills and confidence in data manipulation
