Job summary

Affinia is seeking a Management Accountant to take ownership of a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality management information and commercial support. You will produce accurate management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues.

You will mentor junior team members, champion automation, and continually improve processes while maintaining strong client relationships and high standards of service.

Qualifications

  • Strong management accounting experience.
  • Excellent bookkeeping, VAT, and financial reporting knowledge.
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Advanced Excel and cloud accounting software skills.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare management accounts packs with KPI reporting and commentary.
  • Deliver variance analysis to support client decisions.
  • Maintain technical accounting knowledge and review junior staff work.
  • Prepare reconciled trial balances and working papers.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
  • Build and manage client relationships.
  • Coach accountants within the team.
  • Champion automation and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively across platforms.
  • Contribute to wider business initiatives.

Purpose Of The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality management information, financial insight, and commercial support that helps clients make better business decisions. You will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, preparing year-end handovers, and acting as a trusted advisor to both clients and colleagues.

  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification/study.
