Job summary

A financial services provider in Bury St Edmunds is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant / Management Accountant. This role involves handling invoicing, credit control, and assisting with monthly management accounts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experience and proficiency in Xero, along with advanced Excel skills. Competitive salary up to £35,000 per annum offered for the right candidate.

Accounts Assistant / Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle sales invoicing and resolve queries related to funding.
  • Take responsibility for credit control.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheets.
  • Forecast cash flow and help implement budgetary controls.
  • Participate in monthly P&L meetings.
  • Assist in refining finance processes and policies.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

What We're Looking For:
Essential:

  • CIMA, ACCA Part Qualified or QBE
  • 5 years accounting experience
  • Proficient in Xero.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong IT and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a hands-on approach to transaction processing and analysis.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
