Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and driven Management Accountant to join our UK Finance team. This role is pivotal in overseeing financial governance across our extensive retail store network, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight in financial reporting and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts for store variable costs across more than 400 stores.
  • Manage store P&L reporting and provide insights to heads of regions, area managers, and store managers.
  • Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities and communicating these to the Retail Finance Manager
  • Identify and implement automation or streamline opportunities within our current processes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues that delay month-end close processes.
  • Support the timely and effective completion of the group audit, working confidently with Deloitte.
  • Partner with commercial finance teams to deliver actionable insights that will support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the transformations team in projects that will be rolled out within the business.
Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, multi-site retail or commercial environment.
