Job Description

The Management Accountant role will be full time office based in Blackburn and will initially be a temporary role for 6-12 Months.



Reporting to the Head of Management Accounts Key responsibilities will include:

• Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for your designated area of responsibility.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and backup.
• Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
• Maintain and enhance robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements.
• Ensure consistent documentation of all tasks and activities according to internal policies.
• Continuously review and improve finance processes and controls.
• Undertake various ad-hoc projects to support the finance team and strategic initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

In order to apply for the role you should:

• Have previous experience in Preparing Monthly Management Accounts
• Be ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified or Qualified by experience
• Be able to consider a temporary role initially
• Be able to commute to Blackburn office full time
