Management Accountant | £38,000 - £45,000 DOE | Blackburn + Hybrid & Flexible Working | High-growth business | Exceptional mentorship and progression | 25 Days plus Bank Holidays

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a high-growth manufacturing business, based in Blackburn, in their search for an experienced and proactive Management Accountant to join their current finance function.

This business has witnessed significant growth in recent years and has attracted a best-in-class finance team under an established FD. Therefore, an ability to demonstrate a keen level of enthusiasm and a desire to succeed and input ideas for improvement is imperative for this role.

The business will consider both part-qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA candidates with industry experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Preparation of monthly management accounts, i.e. journals, accruals, prepayments
2. Ensure balance sheets and cashflows are accurate and reconciled
3. Year end audit support
4. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
5. Variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
6. Maintenance of fixed asset register
7. Take ownership of cash flow management
8. Implementation of new processes and controls to boost efficiency
9. Ad-hoc duties and projects

Required Experience and Skills:

1. Previous management accounts experience
2. Part Qualified or Qualified ACCA/CIMA
3. Excellent IT and MS Excel skills
4. Great attention to detail
5. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
6. Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities
7. Work efficiently towards meeting deadlines
