Qualifications

Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.

As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller in all compliance and month-end reporting requirements of the Finance Team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for the month end process, ensuring all journals are posted, and produce the monthly finance results pack
• Oversee the balance sheet, ensuring all accounts are reconciled.
• Preparation & submission of the monthly VAT return
• Manage the administration of all grant claims including audit thereof as required
• Calculate and oversee the process for the R&D tax credit reclaim
• Assist with the year-end audit/statutory accounts preparation process
• Ensure all tax year end compliance matters are addressed on time included p11d(b) and PSA.
• Prepare Office for National Statistics returns.

Skills and experience required:

• Previous experience as a Management Accountant or similar
• Qualified Accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent
• Strong Excel skills
• Instinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approach
• A 'self-starter' attitude with energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to thrive in a small business environment
• Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines
• A flexible approach to work
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Desirable:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• SAP B1 experience
• Experience working in a SME
• UK driving license and ability to travel.
