Senior Consultant | Northwest | Newly Qualified Finance

Management Accountant

Sowena group are partnered with an International Retail Group based in Alderley Edge in their search for a Management Accountant.

This Pioneering Technology group is looking to build their internal team in order to continue their category expansion and drive growth over the coming years. The finance team plays a pivotal role in steering our financial strategy and ensuring sustainable growth, so this is a fantastic role for an experienced Management Accountant to join the team and empower the company with accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and timely management reporting to assist to business stakeholders.
• Produce month end and year end journals.
• Prepare management accounts.
• Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
• Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and board packs.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
• Lead, manage and develop a small finance team.
• Review accounting/business processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
• Working on a US subsidiary as the main point of contact.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Qualified or Finalist level ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA
• Previous experience in the retail/ stockist industry ideal
• Demonstratable track record in a high-growth e-commerce business
• Excellent analytical skills and strong commercial acumen.
• Proactive, structured, and disciplined approach to work.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and expert user of MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Location: Hybrid 4/1 split, Wednesday working from home
