Management Accountant

Management Accountant - Abingdon (hybrid) - £35,000 to £38,000

We are pleased to be working with this NASDAQ-listed, multi-billion-pound turnover company based in Abingdon as they search for a junior Management Accountant to join their team. This role is suitable for someone with experience in a similar position and currently studying either ACCA or CIMA, as study support can be provided for the right individual. You will work closely with Finance Business Partners and Senior Management Accountants.

A little bit about the role...

1. Preparing financial statements for review and distribution to the Senior Management Accountant to monitor performance against budget on a monthly basis.
2. Assisting with sales and purchase ledger activities, including preparing payment runs.
3. Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
4. Preparing quarterly VAT returns.
5. Preparing monthly financial reports by inputting journal entries, and preparing and actioning accruals and prepayments.
6. Assisting with the production of annual budgets and forecasts alongside other Management Accountants.
7. Collaborating with shared services to ensure accurate and timely posting of Accounts Payable and cash transactions.

A little bit about you...

• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel.
• Ability to produce clear written material for various stakeholders.
• Studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
• Experience with Oracle and Sage is advantageous but not essential.
