Advanced Practitioner – AfC Band 7 (37.5 hours per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced advanced practitioner with a postgraduate qualification in breast interventional procedures to join our supportive and welcoming team.
We also welcome applications from radiographers who hold a postgraduate certificate in mammography and are keen to pursue further training in breast intervention. If you're passionate about advancing your skills and contributing to high-quality patient care, we’d love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The Beds & Herts Breast Screening Service is one of the largest units in the country and provides breast screening and assessment services to women living across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.The successful candidate will be expected to support symptomatic, screening, assessment and follow up clinics in the Breast Unit at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital and screening on 5 mobile units. The ability to get to the mobiles is essential.
Opportunities for role progression form an exciting part of our continuing service development plan. We currently have 10 mammographers working in advanced practice and have recently trained a consultant radiographer.
