RADIOGRAPHER/TRAINEE MAMMOGRAPHER

Band 6 (OR Band 5 - depending on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Radiographer to join a progressive, friendly team. We are a combined unit providing both a Screening and Symptomatic breast service, with close links to the University of Dundee Breast Research team.

We are a fully digital department with 3 Hologic imaging rooms (one with Contrast Enhanced Tomography), 2 Hologic mobile screening units, and 2 ultrasound rooms.

This vacancy is for a Radiographer wishing to specialise in mammography. Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Radiography or equivalent, and preferably have a Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography (training will be provided if not).

You must be HCPC registered and will be expected to undertake the Post Graduate qualification, unless previously obtained. The course is run by the Scottish Mammography Centre in Glasgow.

Successful candidates will be supported while completing the postgraduate qualification if necessary.

Skills to perform autonomously at Band 6 level should be developed within 12 to 24 months after starting employment at Band 5, in accordance with Agenda for Change Annex T.

You will be required to work on a mobile breast screening unit and should be able to travel to various locations throughout Tayside and Northeast Fife.
