Job summary

Richardson International is recruiting a Production Operator for the Crisp Malt, Great Ryburgh site. The role supports the production team across malt processing steps with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, alternating days and nights (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00).

You will follow recipes, monitor quality and work with maintenance to minimise downtime. Responsibilities include safety, equipment operation, sampling, hygiene and documentation.

Qualifications

• Essential: Experience in a factory environment.
• Essential: Good communication skills.
• Essential: Able to work within a fast-paced environment to ensure process timings and quality requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Health & Safety of yourself and colleagues as per Safe Systems of Work and PPE requirements.
• Operate plant equipment to deliver production schedule and transfer grain between stages (Steeping, Germination, Kilning) and document data.
• Cooperate with engineering to report faults and support timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Carry out daily sampling and moisture content analysis; document actions to maintain product quality.
• Maintain plant hygiene and HACCP compliance; perform day-to-day cleaning and complete cleaning documentation.
• Work as part of a team to support day-to-day production operations and meet quality standards.
• Undergo training to be multi-skilled across production plants for business contingency.
• Carry out reasonable requests within capability.
