Job summary

Midway Care Group is recruiting Male Support Workers for a part-time role (20 hours per week). The position is a daytime role across our residential and supported living services, supporting adults with learning disabilities to maintain daily living skills.

We value empathy, flexibility across weekdays and weekends, and a commitment to dignity. Training and funded qualifications are available, with a pathway to junior/middle/senior leadership roles and benefits above the national living wage.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with people and make a difference.
• Experience in care or the desire and values to care for people.
• Fully flexible with weekdays and weekends.
• Willing to assist with daily activities and personal care.
• Commitment to dignity, ethics and high standards.
• Interest in future career progression into leadership roles.
• Open to fully funded qualifications for development.

Responsibilities

• Support people in developing and maintaining daily living skills.
• Identify and meet the needs of those we care for.
• Develop and maintain relationships with people, team members and the local community.
• Encourage choices in keeping with the rights of people with a Learning Disability.
• Participate in defined care plans encouraging individuals to take an active role in all aspects of daily living.
