A care support organization in Penzance is seeking a caregiver to support a 64-year-old gentleman with learning disabilities and autism. The ideal candidate must hold a UK driving license and possess experience in positive behavior support. Responsibilities include providing 2:1 support in the community and promoting the gentleman's independence. This part-time role offers competitive pay and opportunities for training and personal growth.

You will be supporting a 64-year-old male with learning disabilities and autism. He loves people watching, he is very playful when you get to know him but the ideal candidate must be able to take a joke as he likes to make fun and take jabs but it's all in good fun!! He has a pet rabbit named Popeye who is his pride and joy.
He loves all sports such as football and rugby and likes to go into Penzance arcades to play on the 2p machines. The ideal candidate must have experience in Positive Behaviour Support Practices and person-led practices.
Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who can be trusted to act with their own integrity and provide incredible and meaningful support, building a trusting and long-lasting rapport with a gentleman in Penzance. This can be a challenging role at times, especially as it involves lone working, but if you want that challenge then this is offset with some truly inspirational moments where you can say 'I did that'.
