This is a role as a Male Support Worker at Elysium Healthcare's learning disability and autism service in Surbiton, Surrey. You will join an inclusive and supportive team to provide care and support to people with learning disabilities, using your knowledge and skills to help them along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Main duties of the job

As a Support Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. It can be a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. However, it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you've made someone's life better.

Where you will be working:

Location: 89 Ewell Road, Surbiton, Surrey, KT6 6AH

You will be working at 89 Ewell Road, a learning disability and autism service which provides support for people who may be living with moderate learning disabilities with associated health needs, autism and behaviours.

You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team to offer support to people who may come to 89 Ewell Road as part of their care pathway. Whether it is moving from their community placement or a family home because they require more structured care and support.
