Libertatem Healthcare is seeking experienced Male Spinal Injury Support Workers to work with a male client in his 30s with a C5/C6 injury in Guildford. The client is a wheelchair user living in a fully adapted home.

Hours: Monday - Friday and Sundays, 24-hour shifts (11am-11am), including sleeping nights. Rota on a rolling basis. Candidates must be flexible and able to cover all shift patterns. Drivers with their own vehicle are required.

Responsibilities include: personal care, household chores, social activities, facilitating rehab goals, and following the client’s direction.

Main Tasks:

  • Supporting independence and rehabilitation
  • Providing personalized support according to support plans
  • Understanding and following care plans, seeking clarification when needed
  • Participating in care plan reviews
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and health professionals
  • Promoting self-care and self-management for independence

Training & Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided. Support from a clinical lead nurse will be available. Double Covid vaccination may be mandatory depending on client needs.
