Job summary

UKCIL is seeking a male Personal Assistant/Support Worker in Cramlington for 12 hours per week at £14.67 per hour to assist a gentleman who has had a stroke. You will help him access social and leisure activities and promote his independence within the local community.

The role requires patience and a calm approach, with understanding of safeguarding and supporting someone with limited verbal communication and possible challenging behaviour.

Qualifications

• Understanding of safeguarding and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Experience or understanding of supporting someone with communication difficulties and challenging behaviour.
• Caring, patient, and reliable nature.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred (business insurance is required).

Responsibilities

• Provide social and leisure activity support.
• Help the gentleman remain independent in daily life.
• Attend Essential PA Guide training.
• Complete Safeguarding Adults/Children training.
• Use own car for transporting to activities (driving licence preferred).
