Job Title: Male Personal Care Assistant

Permanent contract.

Full-time position, or could be offered as two part-time roles if necessary.

Salary: £33,150 (or pro-rata if offered on a part-time basis)

Location: Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne

Male Personal Care Assistant required to be part of a team of seven PAs supporting a delightful young man who is neurodivergent and non-verbal.

Shifts will include daytime and nighttime, involving support at home and in the community to access leisure activities. Night shifts and daytime shifts at his home will mostly be on a 1:1 basis, while community activities will typically involve a 2:1 staffing ratio with another PA. Night shifts will be mainly waking nights.

Main duties include supporting with personal care, meal preparation, feeding assistance, medication administration, daily living tasks, and ensuring safety, as well as engaging in activities to promote development and wellbeing.

Community activities may include walks, bowling, museum visits, shopping, swimming, and dining out.

A clean driving license and access to a car are preferred but not essential.
