Aspirations Care Ltd is looking for a Male Intensive Support Worker to provide dedicated support to individuals with complex needs in Birmingham. In this full-time role, you'll engage in meaningful activities, assist with daily tasks, and de-escalate challenging behaviours, significantly impacting the lives of those you support. As an Intensive Support Worker, you'll provide 1:1 tailored support and help people live life on their own terms—whether that means:
Encouraging engagement through meaningful activities and structured routines
Assisting with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, or managing health appointments
Supporting individuals to access the community and enjoy hobbies or social events
De-escalating challenging behaviours using your professional knowledge and compassion
Maintaining up-to-date care plans, safeguarding reports, and risk assessments
You’ll be at the heart of everything we do—empowering people with complex needs to achieve independence and a life they’re proud of.
6+ months of hands-on experience working with individuals with complex needs or behaviours that challenge
A calm, confident, and emotionally resilient approach
Practical understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and person-centred care
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
The ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism, safety, and empathy
