New Directions Education are looking to recruit a Male Learning Support Assistant to work in a school in the Swansea SA4 area specifically supporting and working with pupils with a range of abilities and needs including moderate, severe, profound and multi additional needs, autism and pupils with social emotional and behaviour needs.

Working hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday.

This role involves working with students with a range of disabilities and mixed level learning abilities, supporting their learning and development.

Job Specification

To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Ideally experience working in an ALN environment
  • Recent experience in a classroom environment
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.

  • Dyslexia
  • Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
  • Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

  • Physical Disabilities (PD).
