Job summary

Mako Trading invites you to join its four-week Summer Internship in London, designed to bridge STEM proficiency with real-world options trading and data-driven strategies. You will collaborate with experienced traders and software engineers to gain industry insight and hands-on exposure.

The program covers options theory, risk management, and the technology powering the markets, preparing you for your final year and beyond.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the 2nd or final year of a STEM-related degree program.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex challenges.
• Exceptional mathematical aptitude with a proven track record of high-level quantitative skills.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Work with highly experienced traders to understand the options and wider financial industry in depth.
• Attend lectures and Q&A sessions with trading specialists, plus mock trading.
• Simulate real-world trading, analyse market trends, and develop strategies.

Mako's Summer Internship is a comprehensive program aimed at developing industry knowledge and practical experience in options markets. As trading increasingly relies on automation and data-driven strategies, the collaboration between our software engineering and trading teams has become more integrated and dynamic. Our tailored, holistic program spans for four weeks and provides an in-depth overview of the markets in which Mako operates. It covers fundamental options theory, risk management and the technology utilised throughout the business. This gives you an insight into what we do and how we work, while also equipping you with valuable skills to take back to university for your final year and beyond.

During The Internship, You Will Have The Opportunity To Work With Highly Experienced Traders To Understand The Options And Wider Financial Industry In Greater Depth. This Will Also Cover Other Areas Such As
