Job description

The post holder for this role will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Sector Manager to manage the make ready teams across the sector. They will help to oversee the delivery of customer-focused and time-critical services in support of front-line clinical services throughout their respective sector footprint.

They will supervise the operational delivery of Make Ready within their sector, driving improvements and supporting staff in accordance with Trust values and behaviours. The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the make ready sector team, including leading on statutory compliance and supporting senior managers to ensure the provision of efficient and effective make ready services.

Under the direction of the sector manager, the post holder will cascade objectives to their team via appraisals, set goals, and undertake continuous review of compliance against objectives and Key Performance Indicators to meet strategic plans and goals. They will ensure operational vehicles are checked, cleaned, stocked, and correctly located for the start of shifts in accordance with standards and procedures.

The post holder will be responsible for managing, collecting, collating, analyzing, and presenting compliance and service delivery data. They will ensure that works including CQC framework, IPC standards, health and safety responsibilities, Datix investigations, and statutory training are completed timely and in accordance with policies, legislation, and regulations.

They will manage projects up to the value of £1m, assist the sector manager in managing budgets, and oversee a full programme of works from start to completion within budget. They will attend group meetings related to significant make ready issues and liaise with relevant departments and key stakeholders to develop requirements and ensure delivery against expectations.

The post holder will handle Freedom of Information requests related to make ready and liaise with the team to meet deadlines. They will also provide professional project and service delivery coordination and administrative support, assisting senior managers and the overall team to ensure effective service delivery.
