Job summary

Milk Education is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with Special Educational Needs across Leeds primary schools. You will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential in welcoming environments.

Role involves one-to-one and small-group support, fostering positive relationships, and collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to tailor support for individual needs. Training opportunities and flexible scheduling available.

Qualifications

  • Experience in education, care, youth work or similar roles is desirable.
  • Willing to learn and develop through ongoing training.

Make a Real Difference - SEN Teaching Assistants Needed in Leeds Primary Schools

We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviour in welcoming primary schools across Leeds.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Support children with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to support each child’s individual needs.

  • Positive, proactive and committed to making a difference.
  • Experienced in education, care, youth work, support work or similar roles (desirable but not essential).
