Make a Real Difference – SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted in Southwark!

Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school based in the Southwark area to recruit passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join their support team from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs, including those with autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.

About the Role:

Provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, either on a 1:1 basis or in small group settings

Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and accessible learning environment

Support pupils both academically and emotionally, promoting independence and confidence

Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and SEN planning where appropriate

Collaborate closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals

About You:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally within a school or educational setting

A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure

A flexible and proactive approach to working in a fast-paced environment

Team Teach or other relevant training (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)
