Whether you’re supporting a child to grasp tricky topics or providing consistent 1:1 support for learners with additional needs, you can make a real difference with TP Tutors.

We’re expanding our friendly, values-led team across the BCP area and are looking for flexible, committed individuals with experience in education, youth work or tutoring to deliver personalised support in Maths, English, or general core subjects.

Role: Local Tutor (with SEN/SEND Support Opportunities)

Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole (Online or In-Person) Type: Part-Time or Full-Time – Flexible to suit your lifestyle

About TP Tutors

TP Tutors partners with schools and families to provide meaningful academic support to students who are falling behind or need tailored 1:1 help. Many of our learners have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), so we’re especially keen to hear from tutors who are open to, or experienced in, working with SEND learners.

You’ll work locally across BCP, either delivering in-person sessions at homes, schools or alternative provisions—or supporting learners online.

What You’ll Do

Deliver engaging, personalised tuition in Maths, English, or core subjects

Support learners 1:1 or in small groups, including those with SEND

Tailor lessons to each student’s goals, pace, and learning style

Foster a calm, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment

Track progress and communicate with families and schools where needed

Who We’re Looking For

People with experience in education: tutors, TAs, mentors, unqualified teachers, or support staff

Confident in supporting primary or secondary-aged learners

Open to working with SEND learners

Based in the BCP area, and able to travel locally or tutor online

Positive, flexible communicators who are passionate about helping young people succeed

You don’t need to be a qualified teacher—but relevant experience is essential.
